Norwich City have completed the permanent signing of midfielder Paris Maghoma from Premier League club Brentford.

The former England youth international joins on a contract until June 2029 with an option for a further year. He will wear the number 25 shirt.

Enfield-born Maghoma initially began his career in the Tottenham Hotspur Academy before making the move to west London in 2022.

Speaking to canaries.co.uk, the 24-year-old said: "It's a massive club that has got a lot of ambitions to get back where they definitely belong. I'm grateful for the opportunity of just being here and getting going.

"I've had great conversations with a lot of people, great conversations with the gaffer, the style of football and everything about it is exactly where I envisage myself being."

City sporting director Ben Knapper added: "Paris has always been a huge talent with a really interesting profile and we're delighted to welcome him to Norwich City.

"He is a player we’ve followed for a long time and he already has plenty of experience at EFL level, as well as in the Premier League. He’s eager to get going with a new project and he showed a big desire to get this move over the line.

"We believe he has the quality, potential and personality to be a big asset here, and we're all looking forward to seeing him help us move towards our goals and objectives.”

Maghoma made his first senior appearance in the 2022/23 season while on loan at AFC Wimbledon. He also spent time at MK Dons and Bolton, helping the latter to the League One play-off final in 2024.

Returning to Brentford last season, he made 10 appearances in all competitions.

At international level, he has represented England at a variety of age groups up to and including Under-20.

The transfer is subject to approval by The FA and EFL.
